We are currently accepting applications for food trucks, market vendors and merchants to participate during the Festival’s opening weekend at the Vancouver Art Gallery šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl’e7énḵ Square. This weekend draws more than 20,000 people over two days with 20 free, all-ages live concerts. The Festival’s food and vendor marketplace is spread along Howe Street between W. Georgia and Robson Streets, providing vendors an excellent opportunity to increase their exposure to festival audiences and downtown crowds. This is an outdoor event that will take place rain or shine.

Applications must be submitted no later than April 18th for consideration. Applications will be juried by Coastal Jazz and successful applicants will be notified by email on or before April 30, 2025.
Food Vendors
We encourage applications from vendors who offer a variety of affordable, healthy, nutritious food choices and represent the diversity of Vancouver’s food scene.
- Vendors must be in compliance with BC’s Food Premises Regulation and show consistent operations in a FoodSafe manner.
- Vendors must have a valid business license and minimum $2M general liability insurance coverage.
- Must be experienced operating in high volume environments.
- Participation includes vending space along Howe or Georgia Street. Water and power will not be available.
- There is opportunity for one cart to operate within the licensed beer garden in the plaza; this location cannot accommodate trucks.
- No single serve plastic containers are permitted on the site. Acceptable alternatives must be provided.
- Overnight security will not be provided and trucks are not permitted to park overnight.
- In 2025, the food vendor fee will be based on 15% of gross sales at the Festival, plus a non-refundable deposit of $600 for the full weekend or $300 for a single day payable in advance of the Festival.
- Food vendors must be able to reconcile and report all sales via a digital platform (e.g., Stripe or Square) and report these sales to Coastal’s Food & Beverage manager by email. The Festival will invoice the food vendor at the end of the festival for the total commission.
- Coastal Jazz will assign vendor space at their discretion and reserve the right to reassign space or alter the layout at any time.

Festival Market Vendors
Coastal Jazz encourages applications from independent makers, nonprofits and local businesses who wish to promote their products to a large and diverse audience. Market vendors will be placed throughout the plaza with excellent access to Festival crowds and street traffic. We will prioritize local producers and crafters with high-quality products that cater to the diversity of Vancouver’s population.
- Vendors are responsible for bringing their own tent, table(s), chair(s), display, etc.
- Fees include access to a 10×10 vending space and charging power.
- Limited electricity for charging devices is available.
- Vendors must carry liability or day-of event insurance.
- Vendors staying for the entire weekend are welcome to leave supplies and wares overnight but please be aware that overnight security is limited. Coastal Jazz is not responsible for the theft or damage of any property.
- Market vendor fees for a 10’ x 10’ space are $600 for the full weekend or $300 for a single day payable in advance of the Festival. Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
